Echo and Narcissus, John William Waterhouse

$103.00

This detailed painting tells the Greek myth of Narcissus, the vain youth who stared at his own attractive reflection until he turned into the flower we know as narcissus. Echo, the forest nymph from who the modern word is derives, looks on. The rich colors in this design for needlepoint will look beautiful in your home.
John William Waterhouse was a British artist who worked in the style of the Victorian Pre-Raphaelites, often painting subjects of Greek mythology and Arthurian legend, and Shakesperean characters. His work could be considered romantic realism, as it is filled with detail but romantic scenes and characters.

Each canvas comes with thread color key and required thread quantities.
